NEXO is the sound of the Seoul Jazz Festival

The 18th edition of the now world-famous Seoul Jazz Festival took place over four stages in the South Koreancapital’s Olympic Park last month (May 2026).

A vibrant celebration of jazz and contemporary music, the festival features a diverse lineup of over 60 artists, including international stars as well as Korean acts.
This year’s headliners included fourteen-time Grammy winner Herbie Hancock, seven-time Grammy-winner Jon Batiste and ten-time Grammy-nominated Janelle Monáe performing in the 15,000 capacity KSPO Dome where local NEXO rental partner WayAudio rigged left and right side-by-side hangs of 15 x NEXO STM M46 Main and 15 x STM B112 Bass line array elements, with STM S118 subs providing the LF extension and further hangs of STM M28 used as side fills.

The extraordinary versatility ofNEXO’s industry-standard P+Series point source speakers was proved once again through their deployment as precision on-stage monitors, with NEXOGEO M12 stacks performing the role of stage fills.
Over at the outdoor 88 Lake Waterfront Stage, the team from Way Audio deployed their new NEXO Alpha+ system in left and right stacks.

“Legendary Alpha power combined with the ability to control the HF directivity of the M210 Main module madeAlpha+ perfect for this application, providing excellent coverage of the tiered, amphitheatre-style seating” reports Jordan Lee, Chief System Engineer at WayAudio.
“And being a stacking system makes Alpha+ really quick and easy to rig.”
