Starway's Baracca 360 WET IP65 fixtureseasily endures the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The 24 Hours of Le Mans, held annually in western France, is one of the world's most prestigious endurance motorsport events, drawing hundreds of thousands of spectators to a circuit that stays lit and active around the clock, whatever the weather.

For this year's edition, French manufacturer Starway equipped the event's hospitality villages, VIP areas and live stages with its Baracca 360 WET, an IP65‐rated outdoor beam fixture built for continuous 24‐hour operation.

Powered by a 260W LED laser source, it delivers 190,000 lux at 20m through a tight 1.7° beam, with CMY colour mixing, a 17‐colour wheel, 19 fixed gobos, two stackable prisms and infinite pan/tilt movement. Its IP65 rating protects against dust and water, key for a fixture running outdoors, non‐stop, through the night.

On site, it handled several roles: sharp beam columns for VIP lounges, high‐output visuals for live stages, precise effects for podium ceremonies, and directional lighting for wayfinding — all via DMX512, ArtNet or sACN.
