Nestled in the heart of Shimokitazawa, a neighbourhood known for its vibrant arts scene and eclectic culture, Daisy Bar celebrated its 20th anniversary this year with a major audio upgrade. The beloved live house has introduced the JBL Professional SRX900 powered line array system, bringing a new level of clarity and power to its performances.
As part of a scheduled equipment refresh, Daisy Bar sought a speaker system that could meet strict requirements for both size and output. The JBL SRX900 Series stood out as the ideal solution, offering compact size and manageable weight and the signature JBL sound quality. Given the venue’s limited space and need for high sound pressure, the SRX900 was the perfect fit. The team also expressed confidence in JBL’s trusted sonic character and found the system’s power requirements to be just right for their setup. Despite its compact size, the JBL SRX900 delivers impressive sound pressure levels, significantly enhancing vocal clarity at the front of the audience area. The installed system comprised of 6 units of SRX906LA dual 6.5‐inch powered line array loudspeaker and 2 units of the SRX928S subwoofers. The upgrade, deployed by Line’s Corporation, has already received positive feedback from venue patrons, and the venue’s sound engineers reported that the increased headroom has made mixing much easier and more precise.
Daisy Bar hosts a wide range of live performances, from acoustic sets to hard rock shows. The SRX900 system handles them all with ease, delivering powerful, clear sound across genres. With this upgrade, Daisy Bar continues to be a cornerstone of Shimokitazawa’s music scene, offering an even better experience for artists and audiences alike.
