Once upon a time… STARWAY
In 1995, together with Yvan Peard and Thierry Rieux, we decided to use for the first time the name STARWAY to succeed J. Collyns, which was still owned by Patrice Miquelis.
The launch of MINIMOON, WILDMOON, STARFLASH, STARBALL, TL4, QSTROBE, LASERGUN was an unprecedented success at the time.
In 1998, we were the first to design a color packaging for the FIREFLY, VEGA, PHOBOS, CHAMAN. In addition we developed specific products such as SPECTRUM and JEWEL. Our experience as a distributor of High‐End Systems products, then of Varilite, as well as our meeting with Joseph Valchar and Ladislav Petrek, allowed us to launch the SERVO COLOR and SERVO SPOT ranges. With the arrival of Ivano Burato, we developed an international distribution network covering over 50 countries.
In 2003, Bernard Cheramy and I, bought the company. Thanks to hard work, we relaunched the French STARWAY brand with some iconic products: AXIS 250, ARCHIKOLOR, DIRECTOR 256, LEDKOLOR, WALLKOLOR, MAXSPOT 250, STARFRAME, TOURKOLOR, FULLKOLOR, MINIKOLOR, FINEKOLOR, CITYKOLOR, SERVO BEAM 5R, EVENTKOLOR, DATAKOLOR, SERVO COLOR 1200, SERVO COLOR 4K, PARKOLOR 120, BOXKOLOR, SERVO BEAM 2R, SERVO SPOT 15K, STARPANEL 3.9, CYCLOKOLOR, FLOODLITE 650.
In 2019, a new milestone is reached with the arrival of DINO, APERTA followed in 2021 by LUSSO, MODENA, ParKolor 200, SOLAR 1050 and the incredible launch of the BARACCA at Prolight & Sound 2022.
Today, the WET, ALCOR and QUASAR ranges are available to meet the need for IP65 moving heads.
As the third‐largest player in the French market, boasting a range of unique, value‐added products, we want to extend our influence on unique, value‐added products, we want to extend our influence on an international scale once again.
