Martin Ultra Day invites their ASEAN partners to Singapore for showcase of newest fixtures
"It feels good to be back doing live events", was the rallying call heard from all the attendees at the Martin Ultra Day live showcase featuring their newest and incredibly versatile entertainment range fixtures, the Mac Ultra Performance, Mac Ultra Wash, Mac Aura PXL, ERA 150 LED Wash, ELP PAR LED Wash, VDO Atomic Bold, and VDO Atomic Dot products. The event was held in Singapore on May 11 at the Gateway Theatre, and it was a good sign to see partners from around Southeast Asia unite face‐to‐face after being absent from such events since the pandemic began, not to mention to have actual hands‐on with the new products.
The excitement kicked off with a welcome address from G. Amar Subash (VP & GM, HARMAN Professional Solutions, APAC), and Hanslee Lim (Director, APAC Martin Sales). After which the theatre lights were dimmed and the audience was treated to a thundering light show designed by leading Singapore‐based lighting designer Javier Tan, created with a custom rig utilizing only the new fixtures from Martin.
Talking about the trends impacting the professional lighting industry and introducing the newest members of the Martin family were the Martin GPLM team who flew over to Singapore for Martin's Ultra Day event.
First on stage was Mark Mercer‐Buss (Product Manager ‐ Entertainment Lighting), who introduced the ERA 150 moving‐head LED Wash and the ELP PAR static LED Wash.
These next‐generation fixtures produce class‐leading lumen output with high‐ intensity zoom, full‐gamut color calibration and smart rigging and control functions, making them versatile workhorse lighting solutions for rentals, installs and touring.
Next up was Wouter Verlinden (Product Manager ‐ Creative LED, Lighting & Control) who elaborated on the features of Mac Aura PXL, VDO Atomic Bold, and VDO Atomic Dot range. The final speaker was Jeffrey Ong from the Martin's APAC team, and he immediately showed off the prowess of their two newest "big guns"‐ Mac Ultra Performance and Mac Ultra Wash moving‐head fixtures.
The HARMAN Professional Solutions APAC team would like to thank Kenny Heng, the owner of CSP Singapore for the use of his own MAC PXL Washes, and to the AV team of the Gateway Theatre which made everything smooth for the build up event day and tear down. At the end of the day, the HARMAN Professional Solutions APAC team thanked all their partners for making it a successful event and is looking forward to hosting more physical launches in the near future.
