Ahead of the recent Indonesian Presidential elections, Jakarta based Metro TV held a series of talk shows in conjunction with presidential debate “REAL COUNT PILPRES 2019”. Studios specially prepared for both the debate and the Partai Bicara (“Election Talk”) programmes featured large video displays controlled via RGBlink video processors. The Election Talk studio stage comprised a large LED screen along with an LCD video wall for statistics. RGBlink X1pro e 4K scalers, supplied by distributor V2 Indonesia, were deployed to provide switching and seamless splicing for the LED walls, forming a key part of the on-camera studio set. With the central 2.6mm pitch LED display covering 25m across the studio at 4m height, and at a total resolution was 9600 x 1536 pixels, RGBlink X1pro e video processing was utilized.
The X1pro e Standard 4K digital inputs and quad DVI outputs allowed native pixelto- pixel scaling as well as seamless synchronized output splicing, so important for this large-scale video wall applications such as in the Election Talk programme. For the Presidential debate, in a separate studio, three LED displays were employed. Comprising a central display with smaller displays either side, located behind the desks for each candidate. Again X1pro e video processors from RGBlink were used. Says Rudi, V2 Indonesia CEO, “The X1pro e processors are ideal for these applications and have become a go-to product with features we need – fast and easy, good performance.” The built-in redundant outputs support on X1pro e was also utilized for the project, allowing fully synchronized backup outputs to the LED display for additional downstream signal security in this live event.
