Son Plus illuminates Château de Compiègne with Starway Actarus fixtures

Son Plus Evénements illuminated the Château de Compiègne, a listed historical monument, with Starway Actarus spotlights. Gilles Espinasse, manager of Son Plus Evénements, describes the magnificent lighting display.

“For this project, we were required to have 100% battery-powered lighting,” explains Gilles. This challenge naturally led the project towards autonomous solutions, and the Actarus spotlights were chosen. Their long battery life and power allowed them to perfectly meet the château’s requirements.

“The Actarus spotlights are perfect: they have a large battery, good power, and remain very lightweight, which is essential for this type of environment,” he emphasizes.

In terms of lighting effect, the spotlights’ power was perfectly suited to the architecture of the château. Thanks to the reliability of the batteries, the teams can confidently plan the installation without having to switch on the spotlights at the last minute for fear of them going out during the event. "We don't have the pressure of constantly having to worry about them. We know they'll last," says Gilles. Son Plus Evènement has already worked with several products from the Starway range, including EventKolor, Enzo, Actarus, and Quasar.

"This isn't the first time we've used Starway. We're looking forward to using the Quasar at future events."
