Bangalore now has it’s own dance music festival and it’s time for you to Come Out And Play. What happens when you combine Nikhil Chinapa, Rohit Barker and Indigo 91.9, partner them up with Ark Events and J Davis Prosound & Lighting in the mix, all of whom, are on all systems go? You get dance music dynamite in the form of Cirkus Indigo – a two-day dance music festival that witnessed a cornucopia of international EDM stars like Norman Doray, Stefano Noferini, Daddy’s Groove, Justin Prime, Jack Beats, Kid Crème and so many more. Added to that, immersive 3D installations and a brilliant, state-of-the-art stage and of course, the feisty, youthful, dance-happy population to the mix.

The Iconic venue Jayamahal Palace which also was the part of the Epic Above & Beyond TATW450 and Group Therapy 001 was the apt place for the festival.

J Davis & Santana Davis from J Davis Prosound & Lighting commented on being appointed as the technical solutions partner (Sound, Lights and Trussing) for the event: “We are happy to bag the first ever Cirkus Indigo Festival and thank Nikhil and Radio Indigo for entrusting the job.”

For the sound, a total of 54 units of L-Acoustics cabinets were provided which comprised of 20 L-Acoustics V-DOSC with 4 DV Dosc as downfills 6 DV-Dosc as centrefills. A total of 16 SB 218 Subs in a sub arc mode was used to give an even low end coverage. All amplification were LA 48a from L-Acoustics and controlled by Dolby Lakes LP4D12’s. The F.O.H desk is an AVID SC 48 digital console.

DJ equipment includes 6 Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus CD machines, 1 Pioneer DJM 2000 Mixer, 4 L-Acoustics Arcs and 2 SB 218 Subs as DJ monitors.

The lighting rig consisted of 32 Elation Platinum Beam 5R, 12 MX Prime 6000 LED Wash, 12 Atomic Strobes 3000, 24 3W Boxer LED Pars, 20 4-Lite Molefays, 4 Look Hazers, and 2 Look Smoke Machines.

The lights were programmed using just one Avolites Pearl Expert lighting console. The truss is a 66 x 40 x 24 feet system from Weifa.
